Shaffaq Mohammed

Shaffaq Mohammed (born July 21, 1972 in Kashmir ) is a British politician and member of the Liberal Democrats . He was a member of the European Parliament from the 2019 European elections until January 31, 2020 .

Political career

Mohammed was elected to Sheffield City Council as a member of the Liberal Democrats in 2004. He has been chairman of the Liberal Democrats' parliamentary group since 2016. In 2015 he was named Member of the Order of the British Empire for his political commitment .
