Shahbaz Khan Kamboh

Shahbaz Khan Kamboh (* 1529 , † 11. November 1599 ) was the most important general of the Indian Mughal Empire under the Mughal emperor Akbar I .

He took part in many of Akbar's campaigns, including a. against Rathod, Rana Pratap , Arab Bahadur and Bahadhur Khan-i-Shaibani , and conquered several countries under the Mughal Empire.

From 1583 he was governor and commander-in-chief of Bengal , where he fought several times against Isha Khan , especially at the Brahmaputra and around the provinces of Bihar and Dekkan .

As a devout Sunni , Shahbaz Khan did not meet Akbar's expectations, but he was highly regarded by the ruler for his military and administrative skills . He personally lived as an ascetic and was famous for his charity.
