Shalim Gerardo Ortiz Goyco (born February 6, 1979 ) is a Puerto Rican singer who is also known internationally. He also works as an actor. He is the son of the famous Puerto Rican entertainer Elín Ortiz and the Dominican singer Charytín Goyco, known in Latin America . He describes himself as a Puerto Rican.
Life
Shalim Ortiz started his career at the broadcaster WAPA-TV , in the television show Los Angelitos (in English: the little angels) at the age of seven. Los Angelitos is a children's comedy show about groups of children in schools. This show became a hit in Latin America.
Ortiz moved to Miami with his family at an early age , where he tried to make a career as a model.
In 2002 he was in the series Lizzie McGuire in the 35th episode The Mexican Game Show (El Oro de Montezuma) on the side of Hilary Duff and Lalaine Vergara-Paras to see.
Ortiz has a brother and a sister who are twins.
