Lalaine Vergara Paras

Lalaine Ann Vergara-Paras (born June 3, 1987 in Burbank , California ), mostly just called Lalaine , is an American actress and singer . She has Filipino , Spanish, and Chinese ancestry.

Life

Vergara-Paras gained greater prominence through her role in the television series Lizzie McGuire , which she played from 2001 to 2003, alongside Hilary Duff . For this role she received a Young Artist Award in 2002. She also had a few small appearances in the seventh season of the series Buffy - The Vampire Slayer . In 2004 she went to the Philippines , where she made several television appearances and had her own television show, Flipside , in which she traveled around the country.

She dated US5 singer Richie from 2000 to early 2005 , but they separated again for career reasons. From 2010 to 2011 she was a member of the girl group Vanity Theft.
