Shang Shichun

Shang Shichun ( Chinese  尚世顺 , Pinyin Shàng Shìshùn , born April 21, 1979 in Jinzhou , Liaoning Province ) is a former Chinese weightlifter .

Career

The 1.58 m tall athlete became Junior World Champion in Sofia in 1998 in the 69 kg class. At the 2003 World Championships in Vancouver , she was three-time world champion in the class up to 75 kg. In doing so, she set three world records in one- on-one , snatch and push . However, she was convicted of doping and the 2003 world title and the three world records were stripped of her. Shang Shichun was banned for two years. She was a student at Beijing Sports University . In 2006 she reached 2nd place at Chinese championships in the class up to 69 in pushing and won the snatch and overall result.
