Shannon Hylton (born December 19, 1996 ) is a British sprinter who specializes in the 200 meters .

Athletic career

Shannon Hylton gained her first international experience at the 2013 World Youth Championships in Donetsk , where she finished sixth over 200 meters. In 2014, she narrowly missed a medal in fourth at the Junior World Championships in Eugene . In 2015, she won the gold medal with the British relay at the European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna, Sweden, and missed the gold medal in the 200-meter run despite a wind-assisted time of 22.73 seconds, defeating the German Gina Lückenkemper . In 2017 she qualified for the World Championships in London , where she was eliminated in the preliminary round.

So far she has once been British Champion and Indoor Champion. Her twin sister Cheriece Hylton is also a sprinter.
