The Sharjah Stadium ( Arabic استاد الشارقة) is a football stadium with an athletics facility in Sharjah , Emirate of Shardsa , United Arab Emirates . It is mainly used for soccer games and is the home stadium of al-Sharjah in the UAE Arabian Gulf League . The stadium can seat 11,073 people. Some games from the 2003 Junior World Cup , the 2013 U-17 World Cup and the 2019 Asian Football Championship were played in this stadium.
Right next to the football stadium is the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, which opened in 1982 and has 16,000 seats.
