Shaun Wallace

Shaun Wallace (born November 20, 1961 in Christchurch ) is a retired British cyclist .

Shaun Wallace started twice at the Olympic Games : in 1984 in Los Angeles he was twelfth in the single pursuit and 21st in the points trial and in 1996 in Atlanta 16th in the 1000-meter time trial . He competed three times at the Commonwealth Games and in 1982 in Brisbane he won a silver medal in the single pursuit and a bronze medal in the team pursuit , in 1994 in Victoria he won silver again in the single pursuit and in 1998 in Kuala Lumpur silver in the scratch .

At the UCI track world championships in 1991 in Stuttgart and 1992 in Valencia , Wallace was each runner-up in the single pursuit world championship. He also achieved some minor successes in road races, primarily in the USA.

In 1996 Shaun Wallace retired from competitive cycling. In later years he successfully participated in Masters World Championships. Today he lives in the USA and runs a company that sells tents and accessories for high altitude air therapy.

Wallace was inducted into the Valley Preferred Cycling Center 's Hall of Fame .
