The Valley Preferred Cycling Center is a cycling center with velodrome in US Trexlertown , Pennsylvania .

The Valley Preferred Cycling Center name essentially refers to the Trexlertown Velodrome (formerly known as the Lehigh County Velodrome ). It is 333 meters long and made of concrete. The track is one of the most important training centers for the US track cycling elite .

The railway was built in 1974; The initiator was the publisher and Olympian Bob Rodale (1930–1990), who also owned the land on which it stands. The first race took place on October 12, 1975. Initially there were no cloakrooms, toilets or stands; they were only added over time. In the meantime, Track Cycling World Cups , Junior Track World Championships , national championships and international competitions have taken place in Trexlertown .

The track Olympic champion and multiple world champion Marty Nothstein , who comes from the neighboring town of Allentown , began his career in "T-Town". Until August 2018 he was director of the center, which is owned by a non-profit foundation.
