Shawn bu
Shawn Bu (born August 25, 1986 in Aachen ; as Shawn Budorovits ) is a German director , film editor , cameraman and web video producer who received special attention through his film project Darth Maul: Apprentice .
Life
Shawn Bu studied communication design at the FH Aachen from 2008 to 2015 . Already during his studies he worked as a director and worked mainly for t7Productions from 2012 to 2017 . For his bachelor thesis, Shawn Bu shot the short film Darth Maul: Apprentice in 2016 , which is a fan fiction film from the Star Wars saga. The film had over six million views on YouTube after just a few days . According to his own statements, Bu received inquiries from Hollywood shortly afterwards .
Together with his brother Julien Bam and Jannik Siebert, he is the founder and director of Raw Mind Pictures GmbH, which was founded in 2017 .
Awards
For his video Darth Maul: Apprentice , he received the Germany Web Video Award in 2016 in the Best Video of the Year category . It was also nominated for the Golden Camera Digital Award in the #ViralerClip category.
