Julien Bam (born Julien Zheng Zheng Kho Budorovits in Aachen on November 23, 1988 ) is a German web video producer whose videos are mainly about music , lifestyle and comedy .
Life
Julien Bam was born in Aachen , but also lived in Singapore , the birthplace of his mother. He now lives in Aachen. He has ancestors from China and Indonesia on his mother's side and from the Czech Republic and Romania on his father's side. In his videos, he states several times that he acquired his photography and film technique skills himself. He published his first video on February 19, 2012. Before that, he was active on the now inactive short film channel JuBaFilms , which he ran with Gong Bao and Michael Hilli .
Julien Bam is a break dance dancer, which he often shows in his videos. He gave dance lessons for three years, which he stopped in favor of his web videos. Behind the camera, he was part of the Got-to-Dance crew. In 2015 Bam was awarded the 1 Live Krone for his video Most Epic Dance Moves . In the clip he offers various dance styles with Joon Kim, who is also a YouTuber. In 2016, Bam won the German Web Video Prize in the Person of the Year Male category . Julien Bam won the 1Live crown again in 2016. In 2016 he was nominated at the Kids Choice Awards in the category “Favorite video bloggers: Germany, Austria and Switzerland”, but Dagi Bee won it . In February 2017 he was nominated again in the same category.
In the same month he was for the Westphalian North Rhine-SPD members in the 16 German Federal Assembly for election of the President . Bam has been a testimonial for a Fanta advertising campaign since 2016 . For the film Despicable Me 3 , he dubbed the voice of the robot Clive in 2017.
Bam has been cooperating with the got2b brand since 2018 and has brought out his own hairspray . In April of the same year he took part in the ProSieben show Beginner versus Winner . In the same year, the Bamschool opened his dance school in Cologne, which was closed a year later due to high costs.
In December 2018 and January 2019, Julien Bam was alongside Nikeata Thompson , Vartan Bassil and Dirk Heidemann a jury member / coach of the TV show Masters of Dance , which was broadcast on Pro7 . His brother Shawn is also a YouTuber and produces films. Bam spoke in 2019 in the film Everest - A Yeti wants high up the German voice of Jin.
He also lent Sonic the Hedgehog his voice as a voice actor in the movie of the same name . On December 21, 2019, he announced that he would no longer publish videos on his main channel Julien Bam . Finally, a video trilogy was announced.
Since 2020 he is on the live streaming - video portal Twitch active. On his YouTube channel JUcktmichnicht , on which he published the first video in January 2020, he uploads highlights and reactions that were streamed on Twitch every day.

His songs also include several music video specials on his HeyJu series . This also includes an FAQ video that appeared in 2015 , which he published together with Lena Meyer-Landrut in the form of a song, as his fans asked him if he could record a video with her.
