Nikeata Thompson

Nikeata Thompson [ nɪˈkiːtə ˈtɒmpsən ] (born August 14, 1980 in Birmingham , England ) is a British dancer , choreographer and actress .

Life

Nikeata Thompson has Jamaican ancestry and came to Germany when she was six. She was a track and field athlete until she was 19 , in 2001 she was booked as a background dancer because of her good sense of rhythm. Due to the success, Thompson began to deal more with dance and was discovered two years later by the Berlin group Seeed . In 2005 she was hired as a dancer by Constanza Macras ' Dorky Park dance company . After being an integral part of the tour stage program for five years, she performed with other artists, such as Jan Delay , Lena Meyer-Landrut and Frida Gold . In 2011, Thompson founded an agency for dancers.

In 2013 and 2014, Thompson was a member of the jury with Palina Rojinski and Howard Donald in the dance casting show Got to Dance on the TV program of ProSieben and Sat.1 . The show was awarded the German Television Prize in 2013 and the Bavarian Television Prize in 2014. In autumn 2015 she was a member of the jury for the children's dance casting show Got to Dance Kids on Sat.1. In December 2018 and January 2019 she was a jury member at Masters of Dance .
