Dagi Bee (born September 21, 1994 in Düsseldorf ; bourgeois Dagmar Kazakov , née Ochmanczyk ) is a German web video producer and operator of the YouTube channel of the same name .

Life and career

Dagi Bee grew up in Düsseldorf . After completing her professional qualification , she began training as an industrial clerk . From 2011 to 2015 she was in a relationship with YouTuber Liont . Since he was already represented on the YouTube video portal with his channel LiontTV , Dagi Bee appeared in some of his videos. On October 6th, 2012 she published under the title NO-GOs bei Jungs! her first video on her own channel. This was followed by videos that deal mainly with fashion and cosmetics .

At the end of May 2013, Dagi Bee performed together with Liont and the rapper Kayef at a fan meeting on Hamburg's Rathausmarkt . To do this, the YouTube channel operators called Facebook via the social network . Due to the large crowd, the event had to be canceled. At the beginning of 2014 there was a similar course of a fan meeting in Cologne . Dagi Bee appeared together with Bianca Claßen , operator of the YouTube channel BibisBeautyPalace , for an autograph session in front of the Roman-Germanic Museum that was not approved by the city of Cologne . Some fans were slightly injured, which led the police to break up the gathering. The city spokeswoman Inge Schürmann announced a fine procedure against the two.

In March 2014, Dagi Bee appeared on the television show TV Total . She also took part in the #smilestorm campaign by Glamor magazine , which is aimed at combating cyber bullying . In September 2014, the channel had over a million subscribers. With this, Dagi Bee reached 20th place on the most successful German YouTube channels.

At the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2015 , she won the award in the Favorite Video Blogger category : Germany, Austria & Switzerland . In 2016 she was victorious again in this category. In February 2017 she was nominated again in this category. In 2015 she was part of the cast of the film Potato Salad - Don't Ask! In the role of Katrin . , which was released in German cinemas on July 23, 2015. In the same year, the music video of the song Are you real by KC Rebell was released on her channel .

From 2016 to 2018 she was Angie in the web series Wishlist . Since June 2018 she has been married to the film editor Eugen Kazakov and took his family name .

This leads to a strong bond with the audience. According to editor Florian Zimmer-Amrhein, this effect is reinforced by the fact that Dagi Bee appears “as a guy next door”, “with whom one can come into contact at any time”. The channel's videos are not intended for an “adult audience”, but rather meet the “tastes of twelve to seventeen year olds”. In terms of content, Dagi Bee talked about “ concealers , lip care and eyeliner ”, which reminded me of teleshopping , but was more “amateur” and managed “without a hotline”.

Gunda Windmüller described Dagi Bee as "lovable" in the German edition of The Huffington Post . In her videos she seems “so safely excited that one can understand” why she has so many young fans right now. In a report by the Badische Zeitung about the importance of YouTube for young people, Dagi Bee is referred to as a "star [...] for YouTube watchers". She talks about "the '20 typical problems every girl has," [...] flat hair [and] glitter nail polish ", shows the" perfect eyeliner "or organizes" silly games with her friend Timo ". This is all "as banal as the chatter that backfish once carried at the bus stop".
