The Sheathbill Cove is a small cove on the east side of Amsler Iceland in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago . It is located 1.5 km north-northwest of the Palmer station .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names adopted a local name for the bay in 2014. It is named after the white-faced sheathbill ( English snowy sheathbill , Latin Chionis alba ), which is often represented here.
