Sheila Ingram
Sheila Ingram ( Sheila Rena Ingram ; born March 23, 1957 in Washington, DC ) is a former American sprinter .
In 1976 she was US runner-up over 400 m and won the same distance in the US elimination match for the Olympic Games in Montreal . There she set up US records in the quarterfinals and semifinals with 51.31 s and 50.90 s, which were broken in the parallel runs by her teammates Debra Sapenter and Rosalyn Bryant . In the final she was sixth with 50.90 s. In the 4 x 400 meter relay , she won the silver medal in 3: 22.81 minutes behind the GDR relay with the US team consisting of Sapenter, Ingram, Pamela Jiles and Bryant. Set a world record for 23 minutes.
