Shem Rodger (born December 4, 1988 ) is a New Zealand track and road cyclist .
Athletic career
Shem Rodger was New Zealand champion in 2006 in the junior class in the points race on the track. The UCI Track Cycling World Championships 2006 Junior he took second place in the Team Pursuit, together with Jesse Sergent , Westley Gough and Shane Archbold . In 2009 he won the bronze medal in scratch at the Oceania Championships .
On the road, he finished second in a stage of the Tour of Southland in 2008 . After winner Kirk O'Bee tested positive for doping, Rodger was awarded the stage win. In 2010 he was successful in a stage of the Tour de Millersburg. The next year he drove for the New Zealand Continental Team PureBlack Racing , where he was first overall at The Hub - EMC2 Bikes Cycle Tour. Rodger won the Tour de Manawatu in 2012 and the Rev Classic in 2013.
