Shenzhou 12 ( Chinese 神舟 十二 號 / 神舟 十二 号, Pinyin Shénzhōu Shí'èr Hào ) is the first manned mission of the Office for Manned Spaceflight to the Chinese Space Station . The People's Liberation Army space corps began intensive training in early 2019, which formed the basis for selecting the first crews for the space station. Six and a half hours after launch from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome , after four orbits of the Earth on June 17, 2021 at 07:54 UTC, the spacecraft docked at the forward bow lock along the longitudinal axis of the Tianhe core module . One of the first tasks of the astronauts was the installation of Wi-Fi - routers .
