Sherryl Jordan

Sherryl Jordan (born June 8, 1949 in Hawera ) is a New Zealand writer for young people.

Sherryl Jordan has dealt with myths and historical worlds since her youth. Her favorite book as a child was The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald - before she discovered the books by CS Lewis . These books influenced her career choice. She first worked as an illustrator, then as a freelance writer. In her first five years of writing, she completed 27 picture books (only three of which were published) and four short stories.

She lives in Tauranga .
