JuBu book of the month

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The JuBu Book of the Month is the monthly award by a children's and youth book jury whose members are younger than 18 years. The "Jubu-Crew - Arbeitsgemeinschaft Jugendbuch Göttingen " was founded in 1972 with the help of the youth book author Hans-Georg Noack . The jury made up of children and young people selects the “Book of the Month” once a month and one of them as the “Book of the Year” at the end of the year. The Jubu crew sends reviews of the award-winning books to around 350 interested parties (publishers, authors, specialist journals, schools, libraries and private individuals). The Jubu-Crew was one of six youth juries for the German Youth Literature Prize from 2003 to 2008 .
