Shigenobu ( Jap. 重信町 , - chō ) was a town in the district Onsen the Ehime Prefecture in Japan .
As the satellite town of Matsuyama , Shigenobu had one of the highest population growth rates in Japan.
history
It was founded on September 1, 1956 by amalgamating the villages of Kitayoshii , Minamiyoshii and Haishi .
On September 21, 2004 it was merged with the municipality of Kawauchi to form the city of Tōon and has not existed as an independent administrative unit since then.
