The Shigri Parbat is a mountain in western Himalayas in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh .
The 6526 m high mountain is located in the district of Lahaul and Spiti . It is located in the main Himalayan range on the north side of the Bara Shigri Glacier . This drains the north and west flanks of the mountain. The south and east flanks, however, lie in the catchment area of the Pin , a right tributary of the Spiti River .
The Shigri Parbat was first climbed on August 27, 1961 by a British mountaineering group over the north-west face and the west ridge.
