Shih Hsin-yuan (born January 20, 2000 ) is a Taiwanese tennis player .

Career

Shih mostly plays tournaments on the ITF Women's Circuit . In September 2015 she played her first ITF tournament in Indonesian solo . She immediately reached the round of 16 in the US $ 10,000 tournament, where she lost 2: 6 and 1: 6 to Japanese Yurina Koshino . In October she reached the quarter-finals in both Lucknow, India, and Raipur . At the end of 2015 it was first ranked 1145 in the world rankings.

On the WTA Tour in November 2015 she received a wildcard for the doubles competition of the OEC Taipei WTA Challenger 2015 , where she and her doubles partner Lee Yang clearly scored 0: 6 and 0: 6 against the pairing of two seeded Chan Chin-wei and Junri Namigata lost.

In February 2016 she received a wildcard for qualifying for the Taiwan Open 2016 in singles and with her partner Cho I-hsuan for the main draw in doubles. In the first qualifying round in the individual, she failed against Liu Chang with 2: 6 and 0: 6. The doubles were also lost in the first round against Marina Melnikowa and Mandy Minella with 2: 6 and 1: 6.

Shih played her last international tournament so far in July 2018. She is therefore no longer in the world rankings.
