Shin'ya Aoki ( Japanese 青木 真 也 , Aoki Shin'ya ; battle name 跳 関 十 段 , Tobikan Jūdan or Baka Survivor バ カ サ バ イ バ ー , baka sabaibā ; born July 3, 1983 in Shizuoka ) is a professional Japanese mixed martial arts fighter.
Career
Aoki is known for his strengths in grappling and has the black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo . He gained popularity outside of Japan mainly through his dubious physical activity in dynamite !! 2009 . There he broke his opponent's arm , Mizuto Hirota, who did not knock, with a lever. While he was still in the ring, Aoki made fun of him and showed him the middle finger. As a result of this behavior, he lost his teaching position at Paraestra Tokyo, a Japanese martial arts school. Aoki was ranked second in the world lightweight rankings by Sherdog and MMAWeekly in February 2010.
