The Shuanghuan S-RV or Laibao S-RV is an SUV from the Chinese automobile brand Shuanghuan and has been in production since 2007 as the official successor to the commercial vehicle model Rabo S-RV .
While the front design of the predecessor was very similar to the Honda CR-V , the new model got a new face. In contrast to its predecessor, the new vehicle was only designed as an SUV for up to five people. A conversion option to a commercial vehicle or a panel van version was not provided by the manufacturer. In order to make the model interesting for customers anyway, two body versions were offered. A standard version with 4600 × 1770 × 1720 mm and a long version with 4900 × 1800 × 1720 mm were available. The tank capacity of both versions is 60 liters . In the short version of the S-RV is a 92- kW - a petrol engine of the type 4G64S4M of Mitsubishi Motors equipped. It has a displacement of 2351 cm³ and is only available as a 4WD. The long version is also offered with the same engine, but with a smaller displacement of 1997 cm³ and an output of 82 kW. This model was only available with rear-wheel drive. The second long version with the JM491Q-ME engine from Toyota Motor Corporation was only produced with rear-wheel drive. It is also the entry-level model and with a displacement of 2237 cm³ offers an output of 76 kW. All engines comply with the Euro III emissions standard .
The standard equipment included a third brake light , MABS , a Panasonic audio system, navigation system , an entertainment package with two LCD monitors in the headrests for the rear seat row, aluminum wheels, a tire pressure monitoring system , manual air conditioning, ESP , height and position adjustable leather seats front and rear, central locking with remote control, window de-icing system, electric windows front and rear, electronically folding exterior rearview mirrors, UV protection glass , fog lights, mahogany interior and a spare wheel. A sunroof and / or a brake booster could also be ordered.
The quality of workmanship of the cars was sometimes rated as well below the usual European standard.
