The SUV model Shuanghuan SCEO is a product of China's Shuanghuan Auto Company. These models have been manufactured in the Chinese city of Shijiazhuang in Hebei Province since 2002 .

With the model Shuanghuan established his first crossover utility vehicle . For the new model, Shuanghuan used style elements from the current BMW X5 for the rear as well as other style elements from the BMW 7 Series . So the rear of the plagiarism looks exactly like that of the original. The front, on the other hand, deviated from it and contains recessed compact headlights and accordingly appears to be more of a cheap version of the X5. That is also the reason why the model is selling so well in the People's Republic of China. The quality, however, is very far behind the original from BMW.

The plant produces a similar version under the name Shuanghuan SCEO. This is only intended for export. To avoid possible controversy, Shuanghuan changed the front of this vehicle. This model also quickly became popular on the export market and thus provided the manufacturer's first international breakthrough. The first exhibition of the Martin Motors CEO , the official Italian sister model, at the Bologna Motor Show , caused a stir at BMW as well as the initiation of legal steps, which mostly ended without the hoped-for success. Only in Germany could BMW have the model banned.

Both models are offered with three different engines. The entry-level version is a 2.4-liter gasoline engine with an output of 82 kW. The middle version, on the other hand, is equipped with the 2.8-liter TDI , which has an output of 86 kW. The top version is a 2.8-liter petrol engine with 169 kW.

An endurance test carried out by Auto Bild magazine over 100,000 km revealed numerous deficiencies in the CEO. The newspaper criticized, among other things, poor quality brake systems, poorly functioning electronics, massive corrosion and otherwise very poor material quality. In addition, the testers criticized the poor driving characteristics, as the steering turned out to be very imprecise and the anti-lock braking system unreliable. In conclusion, the testers described the CEO as the worst car in the world .
