Shunsuke Imamura (born February 14, 1998 in Kurume ) is a Japanese cyclist who competes in races on the road and track .

Athletic career

Shunsuke Imamura's father was already a cyclist. In 2015 he was junior world champion in points racing , the following year he won the junior title in the same discipline at the Asian cycling championships . In 2017 he won his first two Japanese championship titles in the elite. In 2018 and 2020 he was Asian champion in the team pursuit . At the 2018 Asian Games , he finished third in the two-man team driving (with Eiya Hashimoto ) and in the team pursuit (with Shogo Ichimaru , Eiya Hashimoto and Ryo Chikatani ). In 2019 he was also the Japanese U23 champion in the individual time trial on the road.
