Sibylle Pfeiffer born Schmidt (born October 16, 1951 in Wetzlar ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2002 to 2017 she was a member of the German Bundestag .

After graduating from high school in 1970, Sibylle Pfeiffer completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk at Commerzbank . From 1985 to 2001 she was the managing partner of a medium-sized family company.

Sibylle Pfeiffer is divorced and has two children.

Political party

Sibylle Pfeiffer joined the CDU in 1992 and is chairman of the Lahn-Dill district association of the women's union . She is also a member of the board of the CDU district association Lahn-Dill.

MPs

From 2002 to 2017 she was a member of the German Bundestag and from November 2005 to October 2009 she was Deputy Chair of the Committee for Economic Cooperation and Development . Since March 2011 she has been chairman of the working group on economic cooperation and development of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group and a member of the parliamentary group's executive committee.

Sibylle Pfeiffer entered the Bundestag in 2002 and 2005 via the Hesse state list. In the Bundestag elections in 2009 and 2013, it made it directly to the Bundestag with 41.6% and 48.1% respectively. In the 2017 federal election , she decided not to run again.
