Sideburn is a Swiss hard rock band that was founded under the name Genocide in 1985 by singer Roland Pierrehumbert and rhythm guitarist Fred Gudit. Under the name of Genocide, the band was initially to 1996 stylistically rather classic heavy metal home -Gefilden before 1997 with the change of name to Sideburn a style correction towards rifflastigem hard rock in the tradition of AC / DC , Rose Tattoo or compatriots Crocus completed has been.

To date, Sideburn has released a total of eight studio albums (two under the name Genocide), one EP (also under the name Genocide), two singles and a best-of compilation.
