The Seven mighty principalities of the Warring States Period or seven great powers ( Chinese  戰國七雄  /  战国七雄 , Pinyin Zhanguo qīxióng ; also briefly 七雄 , Qīxióng called) were powerful states in ancient China during the Warring States Period . They were called:
