Zhongshan (State)

Zhongshan ( Chinese  中山 , Pinyin Zhōngshān or 中山 國 , Zhōngshānguó ), also known as Xianyu ( 鮮 虞 , Xiānyú ), is an ancient state founded by the Bai Di ( 白 狄 , Bái Dí ) and other ethnic groups at the time of spring - and autumn annals and the Warring States Period . It was viewed by the Chinese as a "barbarian state". It was in the northeast of today's Zhengding County in the Chinese province of Hebei . It was once located between the ancient states of Yan and Zhao .
