Cai (state)

Cai ( Chinese   , Pinyin Cài or 蔡国 , Càiguó ) is the name of an ancient Chinese state in the Zhou period . After King Wu (周武王) destroyed the Yin Dynasty (殷), he gave the land of Cai to his younger brother Shu Du叔 度 as a fief. This was the state of Cai. In 447 BC This was conquered by the state of Chu . Its territory was in what is now Henan Province in the southwest of Shangcai County (上蔡县).
