The Siebensteinkopf (1,263 m) is a mountain on the south-eastern edge of the Bavarian Forest National Park on the border with the Czech Republic . In the north lies the Stráž (1308 m), which is already in the Czech Republic .
Not far away, the Finsterau / Bučina border crossing offers hikers, cyclists and cross-country skiers the opportunity to reach the Bohemian Forest all year round , although you have to carry your identity card with you.
At the summit there is a wooden summit cross with a modest view, a little below there are seven rocks that give the mountain its name. Several hiking trails lead to the Siebensteinkopf, all of which start in Finsterau and, for example, lead over the Reschbachklause (small lake) or over the Teufelsklause to the summit.
