Siegfried Goethel

Siegfried Göthel (born September 2, 1942 in Hanover ; † 2004 ) was a German trumpeter , chamber musician and university professor .

Life

As a trumpeter, Göthel was a member of the Lower Saxony Symphony Orchestra in Hanover, before he became Erwin Wolf's successor as a trumpeter and with the title of chamber musician on September 1, 1969, a member of the Lower Saxony State Orchestra Hanover .

On December 31, 1970 Göthel moved to the Hanover Radio Orchestra .

On September 1, 1981, Siegfried Göthel took over a professor for trumpet at the Hanover University of Music and Theater , where he worked until his death in 2004. During these years he was temporarily represented by his former student Jörn Schulze .

Siegfried Göthel also worked as head music master of the music corps of the volunteer fire brigade in the Hanoverian district of Wettbergen , a position that remained vacant for a long time after his death, until a former student of Göthel could be engaged as his successor for the honorary office around 2004.
