Siegfried Jaschinski (born August 21, 1954 in Leverkusen ) is a German bank manager . From January 1, 2005 to June 10, 2009, he was CEO of Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) .

education

Jaschinski studied history and philosophy in Düsseldorf and business administration at the University of Cologne . In 1981 Siegfried Jaschinski received his doctorate in Ancient History with a dissertation on " Alexander and Greece under the impression of the flight of Harpalus " .

career

His entry into the banking career began in 1982 at Bankhaus Trinkaus und Burkhardt , followed in 1986 by Deutsche Bank AG in Frankfurt am Main . From there Jaschinski moved to SüdwestLB in 1994 as a board member .

After the merger of SüdwestLB with the market segment of Landeskreditbank Baden-Württemberg and Landesgirokasse Stuttgart to form Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW), he was on the Board of Management responsible for global corporate customer business, Correspondent Banking Eastern Europe / Asia / Latin America / Africa / Middle East, and international portfolio business , foreign trade finance, international risk management for counterparty and country risks, the bank's international network of support centers and the development of German industrial and trading centers.

From November 2007 to June 2009 Jaschinski was also President of the Association of German Public Banks (VÖB). He also served as Honorary Consul of the United Mexican States in Stuttgart.

In November 2012, the Stuttgart public prosecutor brought charges against Jaschinski and other former and active board members of LBBW. The allegation is that the balance sheet is incorrectly presented in connection with special purpose vehicles. The trial before the Stuttgart Regional Court began on February 6, 2014. As early as April 24, 2014, the court dropped the proceedings on the condition that Jaschinski pays 50,000 euros to charitable organizations. Jaschinski and the public prosecutor's office had agreed to this.

Jaschinski was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG since June 2015 . He resigned from this post on November 30, 2019.
