Sigbjørn Gjelsvik (born March 30, 1974 in Naustdal ) is a Norwegian politician of the Senterpartiet (Sp). He has been a member of parliament in Storting since 2017 .

Life

Gjelsvik studied economics at the University of Environmental and Life Sciences . Between 1995 and 1999 he was a member of the Fylkesting in what was then the province of Sogn og Fjordane . From 1998 to 2000 he was the youth organization Senterungdommen ago, between 1999 and 2004 he was head of Norwegian membership in the EU rejecting organization Nei til EU .

Gjelsvik moved into the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time in the 2017 general election . There he represents the constituency of Akershus and he became a member of the finance committee.
