Sigismund Knuth

Lehnsgraf Sigismund Ellis Frederik Victor Lüttichau Knuth-Knuthenborg (* 3. March 1895 on Store Grundet ; † after 1963 ) was a Danish lieutenant colonel and Chamberlain .

Life

Origin and family

Knuth came from the Mecklenburg-Danish nobility family Knuth , he was the only son and the elder of two children of the lawyer and court hunter Christian Frederik Knuth (1862-1936) and his wife Sigrid, née. Lorck. On November 30, 1922, Knuth married Elisabeth Denise de Fine Skibsted in Copenhagen's Holmens Kirke . The daughter Annette Elise and the son Ove Christian Frederik Knuth-Knuthenborg (born May 9, 1928 in Frederiksberg , † December 1, 1985) were born from the marriage.

Career

On November 1, 1932, Knuth became lieutenant captain and battery chief in the sixth artillery division, and on November 1, 1934, he became captain and battery chief in the fifth artillery division. From 1935 to 1937 he was adjutant to King Christian X. On April 16, 1947, he was appointed lieutenant colonel . In 1948 Knuth left the army and was court chief until 1952. On May 1, 1953, he became secretary and chief clerk of the chapter .
