Johann Adolf Sigismund von Dallwitz (also: Sigismund von Dallwitz-Tornow ) (* December 18, 1829 in Insterburg , † December 19, 1906 in Tornow ), Herr auf Tornow, was a politician and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Sigismund von Dallwitz came from the Dallwitz branch of the ancient Scof family. His parents were Johann Adolph von Dallwitz auf Limbsee and Johanna Freiin Hiller von Gaertringen. The lawyer of the same name and member of the Frankfurt National Assembly, Sigismund von Dallwitz, was a great-uncle of his.

Sigismund von Dallwitz grew up on his parents' estate, Limbsee, and attended the cadet corps in Kulm and the military academy in Berlin from 1853 to 1857. In 1848 he joined the 8th Uhlan Regiment as a portepée ensign, and in 1858 he retired as Premier Lieutenant . He was married to the writer and art collector Wanda von Graefe, Albrecht von Graefe's sister , with whom he had two children. The family lived in Berlin and on the manor Tornow in Brandenburg.

From 1893 until his death he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Potsdam 2 Ostprignitz and was non-attached.
