Siglinde Porsch

Siglinde Porsch (born June 19, 1932 in Göttingen , born Binnewies ; † August 26, 2013 in Geesthacht-Düneberg ) was a German association official. Between 1985 and 1997 she was President of the German Housewives Association .

Career

After graduating from high school, she passed the state examination in housekeeping with recognition as housekeeping manager. Following an internship, she studied education for six semesters with a focus on nutrition and home economics at the University of Hamburg and passed the state examination for teaching at vocational schools. In 1957 she started teaching in Schleswig-Holstein. From 1964 to 1991, as director of studies, she was the head of the branch of the vocational schools in the Duchy of Lauenburg.

From 1974 to 1984 she was the local chairwoman of the German Housewives' Association in Geesthacht, from 1978 to 1986 chairwoman of the state association and from 1985 to 1997 its president.

Until 2002 she was deputy chairwoman of the consumer association Schleswig-Holstein, and until 2006 chairwoman. For the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) she was chairwoman of the Duchy of Lauenburg district association, since 2004 as a member of the state board in Schleswig-Holstein and since 2006 as a member of the federal association's control commission.

Politically, she was the local chairwoman of the CDU Geesthacht from 1997 to 2003. From 1997 to 2001 she was a member of the federal executive committee of the Women's Union and from 1999 to 2003 of the district executive committee of the CDU. Since 2001 she has been a member of the Lauenburg district council and since 2003 mayor and councilor of the city of Geesthacht .

Siglinde Porsch died on August 26, 2013 at the age of 81.
