Sigrid Hackenberg

Sigrid Hackenberg (born January 3, 1960 in Barcelona , Spain ) is a German-Spanish artist , philosopher and professor of media philosophy and video art at New York University .

Life

After attending kindergarten in Spain , Sigrid Hackenberg grew up in Germany , Canada and Japan .

After receiving her BA from San Francisco State University in 1984 , Sigrid Hackenberg successfully completed her art studies as an MA at New York University in 1986 .

Career

Sigrid Hackenberg has been teaching video art at New York University since 1994 .

In the mid-eighties she began to produce films, which are now archived and loaned by the Electronic Arts Intermix . In addition, Sigrid Hackenberg repeatedly presented some of these films and other works at exhibitions in the course of her career. Some of these were collaborations with other artists, but also some exhibitions.
