Sigvald Tveit

Sigvald Tveit (born March 14, 1945 in Nissedal ; † January 8, 2019 ) was a Norwegian composer and musicologist who had worked at the University of Oslo since 1973 . He was best known for his hymnological research and his contributions to children's programs on Norwegian television, such as Portveien and the Norwegian edition of Sesame Street . He worked with Eyvind Skeie , Edvard Hoem , Tor Edvin Dahl , Tor Åge Bringsværd and Erik Hillestad , among others .

With over 2200 works registered with TONO (as of 2008), he was Norway's most productive composer.
