Franz Anton Danreiter (baptized December 9, 1695 in Salzburg ; † February 17, 1760 in Salzburg) was a Salzburg architect , court gardener and draftsman .

Anton Danreiter went on study trips to Dresden and France . In 1728 Danreiter was appointed chief inspector of the Salzburg court gardens by Prince Archbishop Leopold Anton von Firmian . Above all, his artistically high quality and meticulously drawn views of many of Salzburg's historical gardens are known, which are also of great value in the reconstruction of the gardens. The construction of the baroque Mirabell Gardens goes back to Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach in its present form to a large extent by Danreiter. In the further development of the park maintenance of the Mirabell Gardens, Danreiter's plans are particularly important.

Danreiter also redesigned the Hellbrunn Palace Gardens (including the new Fichtenallee), and he was involved as an architect in the renovation of the Sebastian Church, the design of the Marstallschwemme, the former horse pond in front of the Mirabellschloss and the Robinighof. His series of prospectuses of historical gardens were engraved by various Augsburg copper engravers and became widely used. Hand sketches of garden plans are preserved in the Salzburg Museum .
