Silver shuttlecock 1971

The 1971 Silver Shuttlecock in Badminton was played on September 11th and 12th, 1971. The venue was the sports hall of the Arthur-Thiermann-Kaserne in Pirna- Südvorstadt . Seven disciplines were played, the A tournaments with natural shuttlecocks and the two B tournaments with plastic balls. The A tournaments also counted as a GDR ranking tournament. It was the 14th edition of the tournament series. Hall difficulties in Dresden resulted in the event being relocated to the surrounding area for the first time.
