history

In 2004, Silence's fourth studio album, Vain (A Tribute to a Ghost) was released . It deals with the mysterious life and death of the (hypothetical) artist Matej Smolnik, alias "Vain". It also includes a cover version of the Kraftwerk song Hall Of Mirrors starring Anne Clark .

Silence set various contemporary theater pieces to music. Among other things, the soundtrack album Veronika was created in 2005 from a ballet adaptation by Veronika decides to die . After that, Silence toured as a backing band for Diary of Dreams and switched to their label Accession.

In cooperation with the Slovenian music and art project Laibach , the album Volk was released in 2006 under the band's name - a subversive reinterpretation of the national anthems of 14 countries, with the single Anglia (England).

2012 saw the release of Musical Accompaniment for the End of the World, the first regular album after Vain from 2004. To match its dramatic atmosphere, the release was scheduled for the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic .
