Silje Katrine Svendsen (born February 19, 1990 in Levanger , Norway ) is a Norwegian handball player . She played at VfL Oldenburg in the German Bundesliga.

Career

Svendsen started playing handball at Skogn IL. Later, the back player moved to Leganger HK, where she has been used in the women's team since the 2007/08 season. In the 2008/09 and 2011/12 seasons, the left-hander took part in the European Cup Winners' Cup. In February 2013, Svendsen sustained a serious shoulder injury, which meant that she was sidelined until January 2014. After Levanger was relegated in 2014, she was under contract with German Bundesliga club VfL Oldenburg in the 2014/15 season . In the 2016/17 season she played for Charlottenlund in the Norwegian 2nd divisjon. Then she returned to Levanger.

Svendsen was a member of the Norwegian national junior team that won the 2010 U21 World Cup. She was also used in the Norwegian B national team.
