Silvalde is a Portuguese parish ( freguesia ) in the Concelho Espinho . It is located on the southern outskirts of Espinho and is connected to the national rail network with a stop at Linha do Vouga . With effect from July 1, 2003, the place was raised to Vila . The patron saint of the community is the Apostle James the Elder .
