Silvan Aegerter (born May 5, 1980 in Grenchen ) is a Swiss football player .

His position is midfield . Aegerter already played for FC Grenchen , as well as in the U-21 team of FC Basel . With FC Thun and FC Zürich he played in the Champions League , the UEFA Cup , the UI Cup and the Super League . He is one of the few Swiss players who was allowed to play as a regular player in the Champions League for two seasons. In spring 2007, he was one of many players who were retired from FC Thun for no good reason and had to leave the club. Just a few days later he signed a contract with FC Zurich until the summer of 2012. In the 2012/13 season he moved from FC Zurich to FC Lugano. Aegerter ended his professional career during the 2013/2014 winter break and moved to FC Münsingen .
