The FC Münsingen is a Swiss football club from the town of Münsingen BE in the canton of Bern . The club was founded on June 1, 1928, and plays in the Promotion League , the third highest Swiss league.
history
The sporting highlights of the recent past include the first promotion to the 1st league (1988), the 5-time participation in the promotion games to the NLB and the cup games against the NLA representatives Neuchâtel Xamax (1992) and FC Basel (1996 & 2013 ).
In the 2007/08 season, FC Münsingen took part again in the promotion games to the Challenge League / NLB after a 3rd place in the league due to the non-participation of the U21s of FC Basel , but failed in the qualifying round with 0: 1 (H. ) and 1: 1 (A) at the GC Biaschesi .
In the 2016/2017 season , FC Münsingen reached the promotion games to the Promotion League , where they failed at FC Gossau .
After they had reached the promotion games again in 2018 , this time the promotion succeeded after victories against Meyrin FC and FC Solothurn .
Stadion
FC Münsingen plays its home games at the Sandreutenen sports complex. The square has a total capacity of 1400 seats, 200 of which are seats.
