Silvano Pedroso Montalvo

Silvano Pedroso Montalvo (born April 25, 1953 in Cárdenas , Cuba ) is a Cuban clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Guantánamo-Baracoa .

Life

Silvano Pedroso Montalvo received the sacrament of ordination for the Archbishopric of Santiago de Cuba on June 12, 1995 from the Archbishop of Havana , Jaime Cardinal Ortega .

On March 29, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Guantánamo-Baracoa. The Archbishop of Havana, Juan García Rodríguez , ordained him episcopal on May 27 of the same year in the Cathedral of San Cristóbal in Havana . Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Santiago de Cuba, Dionisio García Ibáñez , and Alfredo Petit Vergel , auxiliary bishop emeritus in Havana. The inauguration in the diocese of Guantánamo-Baracoa took place on June 9, 2018.
