Silvio Dorrego , full name Silvio Emiliano Dorrego Coito , (born March 30, 1987 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.85 meter tall defensive player Silvio Dorrego is the older brother of the soccer players Hugo Dorrego and Richard Dorrego . He grew up in the Barrio Villa Española as the son of Silvio and "Quica" Dorrego. The father played from 1983 to 1988 as a striker for Villa Española in the "C". Called by his brothers by his middle name Emiliano, Silvio Dorrego went through the youth teams of Danubio FC and was active in the Tercera División at Nacional Montevideo . He was at the beginning of his career from 2009 to early August 2011 in the ranks of the Uruguayan club Club Sportivo Cerrito . With the Montevideanern he played 22 games in the Primera División in the 2009/10 season and scored one goal. His team relegated to the Segunda División at the end of the season , but managed to get promoted again in the 2010/11 season. In the 2011/12 season he started as a player for the first division club Atlético Rentistas . After ten first division appearances (no goal), he left the club in March 2012 and joined the Club Atlético Progreso . He played 15 times (no goal) in the 2012/13 season at the club, which is also based in Montevideo. In July 2013 he moved to league rivals Juventud in neighboring Las Piedras . By February 2014 he had played eight top division games and scored one goal. He then continued his career in Romania at FC Botoșani , but returned to Uruguay in July 2014 after a single, 21-minute league brief. Since then, his employer has been Centro Atlético Fénix . In the Apertura 2014 he was used nine times (no goal) in the top Uruguayan league. At the beginning of January 2015, Dorrego and Fénix terminated the contractual relationship. Since February 2015 at the latest, he has been in the ranks of the first division club Atlético Cerro . There he played in eleven first division games (no goal) in the 2014/15 season. In mid-October 2015 he moved to the second division club Deportivo Maldonado . In the Apertura 2015 he has made four league appearances (no goal). From mid-January 2016, he continued his career at Club Atlético Progreso. In the Clausura he made 13 league appearances there (no goal).
