Silvio Nicolodi

Silvio Nicolodi (born March 2, 1921 in Cembra , † November 4, 1989 ) was an Italian politician.

biography

Nicolodi was a long-standing top exponent of the Partito Socialista Italiano , of which he headed its South Tyrol branch from 1960 to 1970 as chairman. From 1960 to 1978 he represented his party in the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol and thus also in the South Tyrolean state parliament . At the regional level he was a deputy assessor member of the regional government from 1965 to 1969 , from 1974 to 1976 he served as president of the regional council, from 1976 to 1978 as vice-president. He was president of the state parliament from 1962–1964, 1967–1968 and 1970–1973, and served as its vice-president from 1960–1962, 1964–1965, 1968–1970 and 1973–1974. From 1972 until shortly before his death Nicolodi, who belonged within the party to the pragmatic wing around Pietro Nenni , was a member of the 6th Commission, which worked out the implementing provisions for the further development of South Tyrolean autonomy .
